How do I add a pet?

Tap the "Pets" tab, then tap the "+" button. Enter your pet's name, species, and optionally their breed, date of birth, weight, and photo. Tap "Save" to add your pet.

How do I add a medication?

Go to your pet's profile, tap the "Meds" tab, then tap "+ Add Medication." Enter the medication name, dosage, frequency, and schedule times. The app will automatically create reminders based on your schedule.

How do I log a dose?

From the Today dashboard, tap on a medication task card. You can mark it as "Given," "Skipped" (with an optional reason), or "Missed." You can also add notes to any dose log.

How do I invite a caretaker?

Go to the Care Team tab, tap "Invite Caretaker," and enter their name and email. Choose a permission level (Co-Owner or Viewer). They'll receive an invitation link to join your pet's care team. This feature requires an Rx+ subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your Rx+ subscription at any time. Go to Settings > Manage Subscription > Manage Subscription (this opens your Apple ID subscription settings). Tap your MyPetRx subscription and select "Cancel Subscription." You'll retain premium access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's refund process.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. Tap "Delete Account" and confirm. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data (pets, medications, dose history, photos, caretaker assignments). This action cannot be undone.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Make sure notifications are enabled for MyPetRx in your iPhone's Settings > Notifications > MyPetRx. Also check the in-app notification settings under Settings > Notification Settings. Note that iOS may delay or suppress notifications based on your Focus mode settings.

Can my caretaker see all my pets?

No. Caretakers can only see and interact with the specific pets you assign to them. You control which pets each caretaker can access and what permission level they have.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use row-level security to ensure your data is only accessible to you and the caretakers you invite. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
