MyPetRx ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the MyPetRx mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for account creation, authentication, and communication
• Display name — optional, used to identify you within the App
• Apple ID information — if you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email (or a private relay email if you choose to hide your email)

Pet and Medication Data

Information you provide about your pets:

• Pet profiles (name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, sex, color/markings, microchip number)
• Medications (name, dosage, frequency, schedule, prescribing vet, pharmacy)
• Dose logs (scheduled times, completion status, notes)
• Care tasks (feeding, walks, grooming schedules and completions)
• Allergies and weight history

Photos

Photos you upload including pet profile photos and photos attached to care task completions. Photos are stored securely and are only accessible to you and any caretakers you invite.

Location Data

We collect location data only during active walk tracking when you explicitly start a walk session. Location points are recorded to create a route map of the walk. We do not collect location data at any other time, and we do not track your location in the background.

Device Information

We collect device tokens for the sole purpose of delivering local push notifications (medication reminders and care task alerts). We do not use device information for analytics or advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the App's functionality:

• Manage your pet medication schedules and care routines
• Send local medication reminders and care task notifications
• Generate adherence reports and analytics for your review
• Enable caretaker collaboration on your pets' care
• Process subscription purchases through Apple's App Store
• Respond to support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US-West-2 (Oregon) region. All data is:

• Encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• Encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Protected by row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
• Isolated per user — your data is never accessible to other users except caretakers you explicitly invite

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Caretakers you invite — caretakers you add can view and interact with the pets you assign to them, according to the permission level you set
• Service providers — Supabase (database hosting) and Apple (authentication, subscription processing) process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority

5. Apple Sign In

If you sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with your name and email address (or a private relay address). We store this information solely for account management. Apple's "Hide My Email" feature is fully supported — we will use the relay address Apple provides.

6. Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses). We receive only a transaction identifier from Apple to verify your subscription status.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen, which will permanently delete all your data including:

• Your user account and profile
• All pets, medications, and dose history
• All care tasks and completion records
• All uploaded photos
• All caretaker assignments

Account deletion is irreversible and typically completes within minutes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — all your data is visible within the App
• Correct your data — you can edit all information directly in the App
• Delete your data — use the "Delete Account" option in Settings
• Export your data — contact us at support@mypetrx.app

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@mypetrx.app.

Arizona Residents

We comply with all applicable Arizona data privacy laws. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at support@mypetrx.app.

9. Children's Privacy

MyPetRx is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@mypetrx.app.

10. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party services involved in the App are:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (supabase.com/privacy)
• Apple — authentication (Sign in with Apple) and subscription processing

11. Push Notifications

MyPetRx uses local push notifications to remind you about medication doses and care tasks. Notification preferences can be customized in the App's Settings. We do not send marketing or promotional notifications.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
